Spanish general election, 1982

General elections were held in Spain on 28 October 1982.PSOE and PSC presented two different lists of candidates: with the PSOE contesting most of Spain and the PSC (Catalan Social Party) only standing in Catalonia. Despite their subtle differences, both PSC and PSOE would later to merge to form the current Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE).PCE also presented a different list of candidates in Catalonia, called the Partit Socialista Unificat de Catalunya, which obtained one seat, which is included with the PCE in the table below.

Alianza Popular and Unión de Centro Democrático ran on a joint list in the three provinces of the Basque autonomous community and won two seats. [http://electionresources.org/es/congress.php?election=1982&province=01] These seats are included in the Alianza Popular totals below.
