The Pilatus P-4 was a Swiss five-seat cabin monoplane designed and built by Pilatus but had little sales success.

Design and development

The P-4 was a high-wing braced monoplane with a fixed tailwheel landing gear and a braced tail unit. It was powered by a nose-mounted 190hp (142kW) Lycoming O-435 engine and an enclosed cabin for the pilot and four passengers. The seats could be removed to accommodate cargo or two stretchers for medevac transport. The aircraft (Registered "HB-AET") first flew on the 22 March 1948 but did not enter series production due to the company's other production commitments. The P-4 crashed and was destroyed on the 13 October 1957.
