He furthered his education, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in 1908. Teaching
In 1918 or 1919 Disque was hired by the Drexel Institute of Technology as a professor and the head of the Department of Electrical Engineering. Before becoming interim president of the Institute Disque was one of a four member executive committee, the Four Horsemen, that made decisions regarding the internal affairs of the Institute. Due to this, and his other leadership experiences within the institute, Disque was the most qualified candidate to lead Drexel when
