Salomo of Makuria

Salomo of Makuria

Salomo or Solomon was a ruler of the Nubian kingdom of Makuria (1080–1089). According to P.L. Shinnie, contemporary accounts record that he was buried at the monastery of St George in Khandaq . While the remains of this monastery have not been identified, Shinnie notes Khandaq has abundant Christian ruins.1
