Franklin Garrett

Franklin Miller Garrett (September 25,1906 – March 5, 2000) was the first and only official historian of Atlanta. [http://www.legis.ga.gov/legis/1999_00/leg/fulltext/hr1444.htm] His massive "Atlanta and Environs: A Chronicle of its People and Events" remains the best reference for the city's history.
