Clarence Marshall

Clarence Westly "Cuddles" Marshall (April 28 1925 – December 14 2007) was an American League relief pitcher for the New York Yankees and St. Louis Browns from 1946 to 1950.

Marshall was born in Bellingham, Washington, and compiled a 7-7 record over four seasons; three with the Yankees, and a final campaign with the Browns. His career ERA was 5.98 runs allowed per nine inninngs pitched. Over his career, he walked 158 batters while striking out but 69.

Marshall died in Saugus, California, at the age of 82.

*Marshall was the Yankees pitcher to start the first night game at Yankee Stadium on May 28, 1946.
