census GR|2 of 2000, there were 1,320 people, 468 households, and 375 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 21.7 people per square mile (8.4/km²). There were 489 housing units at an average density of 8.0/sq mi (3.1/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.94% White, 0.15% Asian, 0.38% from other races, and 0.53% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.83% of the population.There were 468 households out of which 40.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 72.0% were married couples living together, 3.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.7% were non-families. 14.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.82 and the average family size was 3.15.
