Bembridge Windmill

Bembridge Windmill is a National Trust property located in Bembridge on the Isle of Wight. It was built circa 1700 of stone with a wooden cap and is the last remaining windmill on the Island. It has been painted by many artists including Turner who sketched it in 1795.

The windmill was last used as a flour mill in 1897. Between 1897 and 1915 it was used to grind cattle feed. It was given to the National Trust in 1962 and still has its original 18th Century mill machinery intact.
