Lorus Pratt

Lorus Bishop Pratt (1855–1923) was a Latter-day Saint artist and missionary.

Pratt served a mission in Pennsylvania for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) starting in 1875. Pratt also was in England where he assisted his father, Orson Pratt, in organizing the current chapter and verse set up in the LDS Church edition of the Book of Mormon.

Lorus Pratt was an English instructor at the University of Deseret.

In 1890, he went to France as a missionary. Pratt married Harriett Elzina Wheeler. they had six children.

Pratt was involved in creating the art work in the St. George Utah Temple, Manti Utah Temple, Logan Utah Temple and the Salt Lake Temple.
