Richard Walls

Richard Francis Walls QSO (born 1937) is a New Zealand politician, formerly a National Party MP, currently a councillor for Dunedin city.

He represented the Dunedin North electorate from 1975 to 1978, when he was defeated by Stan Rodger. He was the last National MP to represent a Dunedin seat.

Wall was elected Mayor of Dunedin from 1989 to 1995, and was awarded Queen's Service Order for public service in 1996. He is currently city councillor for Dunedin, having been first elected in 1980.
