San Gabriel Mountains ofsouthern California , where it grows on the rocky slopes. While uncommon in the wild, this species is cultivated as an attractive garden flower. This is a rhizomatous perennial herb with multi-lobed leaves. It produces an erect, droopinginflorescence which bears bright pink or magenta bell-shaped flowers.External links
