The 2008 Olympics terrorism plot was a foiled plot to be perpetrated by Islamic extremists against targets in Beijing, Shanghai and other Chinese cities during the 2008 Summer Olympics. The plot was discovered and thwarted by Chinese officials on April 10, 2008.
