KLCZ (88.9 FM) is a student operated college station broadcasting a freeform format, except during the 2007-2008 school year, when it switched to a commercial format. This was a controversial change introduced by the station manager and endorsed by several other student DJs, but reversed after the prolonged objections of teachers and other DJs to the stifling blandness inherent to that format. KLCZ may have originally played regional mexican music, but has sampled from a variety of often very different genres recently. Licensed to Lewiston, Idaho, USA, the radio station serves the Lewiston area. The station is currently owned by Lewis - Clark State College.
