Entenmann's

Entenmann's is a bakery brand now owned by Canadian food conglomerate George Weston Bakeries. In markets west of the Mississippi, it is distributed under license by the US operation of Mexican food corporation Grupo Bimbo. It was started by a German immigrant in Brooklyn in 1898, shortly thereafter establishing headquarters in Bay Shore, New York on Long Island. Their cakes and snacks were formerly distributed only in the Tri-State Region but are now distributed in many grocery and convenience store locations in the United States.

In Popular Culture

Entenmanns showed up in the sitcom Seinfeld when a character, Elaine Benes, replaced an antique collectible cake from the 1937 wedding of King Edward VIII that she had eaten with an Entenmann's cake.

Entenmann's cookies were also mentioned in an act of comedian, Dane Cook, where he recalled eating them in a grocery aisle while listening to an overheard argument.
