James Lesure (born September 21, 1975) is an American actor. He portrays Griffin on the television series "Lipstick Jungle" on NBC. He's best known for his role as "Mike Cannon", head of the surveillance team on the TV series "Las Vegas" (2003-2008).

Film

An early movie appearance was in the thriller "Crimson Tide" where he played the credited role of a guard on board the Nuclear Submarine USS Alabama.In 2006, he starred in the indie films, "Loveless in Los Angeles" and "The Package". He made a brief cameo in the horror sequel, "The Ring 2".

Television

His previous TV roles include playing Mike Cannon on NBC's "Las Vegas" (2003-2008). He also played Mel Ellis on "For Your Love" series. He is also known for his guest appearances on many different American TV series, including "Monk", "Lost", "Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip", "Seinfeld", "Alias", "NYPD Blue" , and "The Drew Carey Show" .

Awards

His awards include two MVP Awards from the NBAE League; Outstanding Actor in TV Drama at the Multicultural Prism Awards (2006); and Distinguished Support Award from the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of California.
