November 20 ,1900 in Yonkers,New York –December 30 ,1950 and raised inToronto ,Ontario ) was an Americanprofessional ice hockey forward who played for theHamilton Tigers ,New York Americans , Chicago Black Hawks, andBoston Bruins in theNational Hockey League . Although US born, Burch moved toCanada at an early age where he grew up playingice hockey andfootball .Burch was the second person to ever win the
Hart Memorial Trophy (1925) and theLady Byng Memorial Trophy (1927), afterFrank Nighbor . He was inducted into theHockey Hall of Fame in 1974.
