Don Misha Gerritsen (born 24 January 1984) is the former official United Nations Youth Representative to the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) in New York and United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COPs in Poznan and Copenhagen for the Netherlands.
As United Nations Youth Representative, Don endeavours to spur climate change mitigation, sustainable production and consumption processes, sustainable energy, water supply, education on sustainable development and strives to increase awareness amongst youth about sustainable development.
In his position, he participates in international United Nations and European Union conferences with regard to sustainable development and climate change.

Education
Don has studied international relations at the International School of Humanities and Social Sciences (ISHSS) of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and holds a Master of Science degree in Social and Political Sciences of the Environment and Human Geography, which he studied at the University of the West of England (UWE) and the Radboud University Nijmegen (RU).
UNEP
Don carried out a research project on sustainable bio energy in sub-Saharan Africa for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), at the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Division. The conclusions can be found at Dons personal homepage [1].
KPMG
Don is currently employed as consultant at KPMG Sustainability, dealing with both private and public sector sustainability advisory and assurance and providing subject matter assistance to former UN climate chief Yvo de Boer.
