Greg Calloway is an entrepreneur from the Washington DC area. He was the winner the AOL/Warner Music Group reality show, “The Biz”, which was the music business version of Donald Trump’s television program “The Apprentice”. On The Biz, Warner Music Group Chairman and CEO of US Recorded Music, Lyor Cohen, called the shots. The show also featured the late, great founder of Atlantic Records, Ahmet Ertegun, Elektra Records founder Jac Holzman, AOL EVP Kevin Conroy, WMG EVP Kevin Liles, and multi-platinum recording artists TI, Panic at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, and James Blunt.
After The Biz, He co-founded a new venture called “Defient Entertainment”. As head of Defient, He was featured on the cover of Billboard magazine, HipHopWeekly, Allhiphop.com, and Element Magazine. In addition, he brokered music deals for multi platinum recording artists 50 Cent, Young Buck, The Game, and Petey Pablo. Defient produced the 2nd Annual Ozone Magazine Awards/TJ’s Dj’s Music Conference, which aired several times on MTV Networks. He was also featured in DJ Khaled’s hit music video, “I’m So Hood,” along with T-Pain, Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, Plies, Cool and Dre, and Young Jeezy. This video aired numerous times on MTV and BET.
