John S. Martin, Jr.

John S. Martin, Jr. (born 1935, Brooklyn, NY) was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Judge Martin received a B.A. from Manhattan College in 1957 and an LL.B. from Columbia Law School in 1961

He was nominated to the court by George H.W. Bush on January 24, 1990, to a seat vacated by Edward Weinfeld, confirmed by the Senate on April 5, 1990, and received his commission on April 6, 1990. He assumed senior status on May 31, 2003. His service terminated on September 30, 2003, due to retirement.
