Colleen McMahon (born 1951) is a United States federal judge.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, McMahon received a B.A. from Ohio State University in 1973 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1976. She was in private practice in New York from 1976–1979 and from 1980 to 1995. She was a Speechwriter / special assistant to Hon. Donald McHenry, U.S. Mission to the U.N. from 1979 to 1980. She was a judge on the New York Court of Claims; New York Supreme Court from 1995 to 1998.
McMahon is a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. McMahon was nominated by President Bill Clinton on May 21, 1998, to a seat vacated by John F. Keenan. She was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 21, 1998, and received commission on October 22, 1998.
