August Stradal,
pianist and music teacher, was born on May 17, 1860 inTeplice ,Bohemia and died on March 13, 1930 inKrasna Lipa . A student ofAnton Bruckner , he made solo piano arrangements of that composer's symphonies 1, 2, 5, 6, and 8. His pianistic credentials included studies with both Theodor Leschetizky andFranz Liszt .
