In the "Invasion" annual series of 1988 by DC Comics, the Alien Alliance was an alliance against Earth in order to plot a way for the Dominion to create a race of Super-men using the Metagene. The alliance consisted of the Dominators, the Khunds, the Psions, the Gil 'Dishpan, the Okaarans, the Thanagarians, Citadellians and the Durlans. The war on Earth was observed by the Daxamites.

The alliance fell apart due to the combined efforts of all the Earth's heroes (led by Captain Atom) and the Daxamites changing allegiances. A handful of aliens were stranded on earth after the war.

Alien Alliance II

In Superman comics a team was called to defend earth in the Imperiex Wars. An alliance was formed between Earth's most powerful heroes. These heroes included Maxima, Superman, Kalibak, Steel, Starfire, Doomsday and Darkseid.
