Help Me is a single by Chicago punk rock band Alkaline Trio, which features on the album "Agony & Irony". The song inspired by the late Joy Division frontman, Ian Curtis, with vocalist/guitarist, Matt Skiba, noting that the song and its artwork "is a tribute to a melancholic beauty that can never be replicated." [http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/interviews/interviews/agony_and_irony_of_alkaline_trio.html] The single's cover art is similar to that of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart".

The song is the band's most successful song on any billboard chart, so far peaking at # 14 on Billboard Modern Rock Tracks.

Music Video

Two music videos were released for the single: a Street Version, which consists of the band performing the song, and the official music video.

The official music video was released June 30 and directed by Josh Forbes. The video contains many elements of the 'steampunk' genre. It follows a male protagonist (played by Matt Skiba) flying around with a jetpack. While in flight, he spots a damsel in distress (played by tattoo artist/reality TV star Kat Von D) tied to a moving train. He rescues her and flies off. While in flight, they escape the advances of enemy airships. The storyline is intercut with clips of the band performing in the ruins of a building.
