held in Diamond Bay Resort in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 13, 2008.

Parvathy Omanakuttan was named Miss India 2008 while second runner-up Harshita Saxena was titled Miss India Earth 2008. However, due to earlier contracts with another pageant (GLADRAGS) Harshita Saxena resigned, thus resulting in the new Miss India Earth Tanvi Vyas.

Biography

Simran Kaur Mundi is the Miss India 2008 runner-up and was crowned Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe 2008 in Mumbai on 5th April 2008. She is a 22-year-old graduate from Mumbai who works with a cinema chain there. Her hobbies include: Listening to music, reading, writing poems, sketching and playing basketball. She participated in Miss Universe 2008 Contest, but was unplaced.
