The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music is a jazz conservatory in Manhattan, New York in the United States.
The school was founded in 1986 by saxophonist Arnie Lawrence.
Among the program's alumni are Brad Mehldau, Roy Hargrove, Sam Yahel, Peter Bernstein, Larry Goldings, Avishai Cohen, Robert Glasper, EJ Strickland, Marcus Strickland, Jamire Williams, Frank LoCrasto, John Ellis, Bilal Oliver, Leron Thomas, Keyon Harold, Shedrick Mitchell, Casey Benjamin, Jesse Boykins III, Chris Turner, Chase Jordan, and Tommy Crane.
