Barton Peninsula

Barton Peninsula (coord|62|14|S|58|46|W|) is a small peninsula separating Marian and Potter Coves at the southwest end of King George Island, in the South Shetland Islands. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1963 for Colin M. Barton, Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) geologist who worked in this part of King George Island, 1959-61.
