Dempsey Howard

Dempsey C. Howard is the son of an evangelist pastor in Eastern North Carolina. Literally growing up under the pews of his father's church, his life has been centered around the church.

His teen years found him on the road with various local singing groups in North Carolina. At the end of his senior year in High School he left for Nashville, TN to join his brother in ministry as they traveled in the continental United States and Canada. While with the Bobby Howard Singers they were doing concerts, crusades, and were regulars on nationally known religious television networks . He has worked with various groups in the gospel music field many of which were Dove award , and gold record winners such as Jerry & The Goffs, The Sego Brothers & Naomi, and more.

A short hiatus from the "religious" scene opened his eyes to things surrounding him. Walking into a small local church in Nashville one night, the pastor recognized him with a call on his life. Not long after he began to sing again and offer ministry in the church to the youth.

In answering the call of God, there has been a learning and commitment process to go through. An event transpired in his life in late 1996 that nearly ended his ministry, and his life. Today he stands proud to be fulfilling the call and doing what God has set him aside to do, as he is Walking in Testimony!

Solo projects

His First solo project entitled "Restored" as written by Gary S. Paxton [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_S._Paxton] has received tremendous response from radio stations across America and has ranked high in individual station charts (#1 at Radio Apr.15 - May 15, 2000). Producer of "The Talking Bible" for World Bible Society in Nashville, TN. This nationally acclaimed Bible on Cassette was sold in major book stores across the country and via TBS 17 in Atlanta. He has currently written five books, "A View From The Inside" and "Gethsemane - Beyond The Prayers of Jesus", and "The Elite", and "Say Hello To My Kid's Mr. Train". Also the author of The Family & Life Enhancement Series which is now being conducted in churches across America.
