Starting with the Prince Hall Masons, there have been a number of African American based fraternal groups. The members range far and wide from Martin Luther King (Alpha Phi Alpha, Sigma Pi Phi) to Jesse Jackson (Omega Psi Phi) to Wilt Chamberlain (Kappa Alpha Psi). It includes a virtually who's who of African Americans. Some groups including Swing Phi Swing and Groove Phi Groove don't use Greek letters or call themselves a sorority or fraternity but by definition the membership is similar.
