Paul Reynolds (born 1946) is a BBC journalist, who is currently BBC News Online's World Affairs Correspondent.
Reynolds was educated at Ardingly College and Worcester College, Oxford. Between 1998 and 2002 he was a member of the BBCs team of Washington based correspondents. During his time reporting from America he covered the Monica Lewinsky scandal and the subsequent impeachment trial. He also reported extensively on the American dimensions of the 1999 Kosovo conflict and the presidential campaign of 2000, during which time he twice interviewed George W Bush. Prior to this, Reynolds was the BBC's Royal Correspondent based in London, during a period when the Royal Family came under intense public and media scrutiny. He also reported extensively on the death and funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997. Reynolds also previously worked as BBC Diplomatic Correspondent from August 1987 and reported on the tumultuous events in Eastern Europe which signalled the end of the Cold War. Before that he worked as a correspondent in New York (1978), Brussels (1982) and Jerusalem (1985).
His son is the BBC's Beijing correspondent, James Reynolds
