"Wannaganosuchus" (meaning "Wannagan crocodile", in reference to the Wannagan Creek site where it was discovered) is an extinct genus of small alligatorid from the Paleocene of North Dakota. It was named in 1982 by Bruce R. Erickson, and the type species is "W. brachymanus". It is known from partial remains found at the Wannagan Creek by a crew from the Science Museum of Minnesota. It was about 1.00 meter long (3.28 ft) as an adult, much smaller than its more abundant distant relative from the same quarry, "Borealosuchus formidabilis".cite journal |last=Erickson |first=Bruce R. |authorlink=Bruce Erickson (paleontologist) |year=1982 |title="Wannaganosuchus", a new alligator from the Paleocene of North America |journal=Journal of Paleontology |volume=56 |issue=2 |pages=492–506] It may be the same as "Allognathosuchus".cite journal |last=Sullivan |first=R.M. |coauthors=Lucas, S.G.; and Tsentas, C. |year=1988 |title="Navajosuchus" is "Allognathosuchus" |journal=Journal of Herpetology |volume=22 |issue=1 |pages=121–125 |doi=10.2307/1564367]
