Jonathan Schneck is a guitarist, banjo player, and bell player for the Christian rock band Relient K. He joined the band in January 2005, shortly after the release of their fourth full-length album "Mmhmm". Schneck is the band's youngest member. He was a touring guitarist for Christian rock band Audio Adrenaline (where he was referred to as "Frodo") before he joined Relient K.

In Relient K, Jon lends his talents in all areas needed to help the band have greater sounds. Normally Jon plays backup guitar to Matt Hoopes, but he also plays banjo, bells, and sometimes mandolin and piano/keyboard in acoustic sessions. He does some backing vocals as well. He also created nine podcasts for Relient K throughout their Matt Hoopes Birthday Tour. The podcasts featured him interviewing the other members of Relient K, their guitar techs, and other bands that were on tour with Relient K. He has now made fourteen or fifteen total podcasts, counting the video podcasts, and almost all their podcasts are now available on iTunes. Schneck is behind the making of most of the video podcasts from the band as well. Some of the video podcasts take place in the studio with the band recording their fifth full-length album, "Five Score and Seven Years Ago". Others take place outside the studio. He has currently made five video podcasts for the band.

It is because of Jon Schneck that Relient K fans have created the phrase, "What the Schneck?". Relient K lead singer Matt Thiessen has been quoted as saying that Schneck provides the "Schnecks appeal" for the band. Matt Thiessen also said once in a tour blog, "Before we play, I always try to suck down a sugar free Red Bull. It represents the drugs portion of Relient K's famous 'Schnecks, Drugs, and Rock and Roll'." [http://www.relientk.com/blog.aspx]

Schneck is also a fan of many movies, one of his favorites being "Ghostbusters", and he has often mentioned his thoughts on movies in blogs from the band and from his own profiles online. According to his blog, Jon recently appeared in one of the "Bible Man" videos with his wife, Pete from Sanctus Real, and Josh, Relient K's monitor engineer. They played henchmen.

Schneck, originally from Eustis, Florida, currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife, Lindsay, son, Liam, and two dogs, Scooter and Sadie, where he also provides guitar lessons.
