"Brazil's Next Top Model, Cycle 1" premiered on October 3, 2007 and was the first cycle of "Brazil's Next Top Model".

In Episode 1, the pool of 20 girls was reduced to 13 who moved on to the main competition. From that point on, one contestant was eliminated each week.

The destination during this cycle was Costa do Sauípe, Bahia. The prize was a R$ 200,000 contract, management and representation by Ford Models for 4 years and a cover for Elle magazine.

The winner was 19 year old Mariana Velho from Santos, São Paulo, making her the first brunette to win the title.

On the first day, the 20 selected were taken to a luxury hotel in São Paulo, the WTC Hotel, which occur first two "tests" that decided the 13 participants who would be selected for the second phase of the programme.

The "reward challenge" was a runway lesson with the runway instructor, Namie Whihby. After class, they were prepared to walk on a runway using the shoes of the designer Fernando Pires. Karen was the winner of the challenge.

In the photoshoot (which was a meeting of pictures of faces), the candidates used lingerie, creams and make-up.

In the first deliberation, all the girls were praised, but some had their weaknesses highlighted. Érycka and Dandara were in a bottom two and Dandara was sent home.

In the "reward challenge", the theme was a "personal style" and had the presence of the judge Alexandre Herchcovitch. The candidates would get 8 minutes into a crowded room of clothes and dressed out with the best describe your own style. Érycka was the winner.

The photoshoot had as the theme "Signs of the Zodiac", in which each model personificou a sign.
