St. Thomas' College (STC) is a reputed private co-educational school in Dehradun, India. Under the able supervision of Mr. R.V. Gardner, STC has been at the pinnacle in the field of higher and senior secondary education in the town.

Academics

St. Thomas' College is a senior secondary school located in Dehradun, the capital of the state of Uttaranchal. The school has a a great history behind it and was founded in 1916, much before India became independent. It excels in imparting not only academic knowledge but also grooms young kids to become great leaders and entrepeneurs in future.STC prepares students for the 10th grade national ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) examinations. The school also prepares students for the 12th grade national ISC examination conducted by the Council for ISC (Indian School Certificate) Examination, New Delhi. The medium of instruction is English.

The Institution has an impressive college placement record with students attending elite institutions in both India and abroad, such as the IITs, NITs, St. Stephen's College, AIIMS, University of Oxford, Harvard Business School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The school also has a history of producing top ranking officials in Defence and Civil Services. St. Thomas has given brilliant soldiers and leaders to this country and the future officers get into Institutions like NDA and IMA every year after passing out of this school.

The House System

Apart from academics, students are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of co-curricular activities. Activities and competitions within the school are conducted in cohorts or "houses".
