Militray song of China, this is an interesting thing in China, the same tune is used for different army, only change the lyrics,since "New Army" in Qing Dynasty to PLA.

The song hs different names in different periods with different lyrics, but the tune which is based on a Preußen military song March of the Emperor William II remained basically the same.

In Qing Dynasty, the original lyric of the song was first orignated by Zeng Guofan for his Xiang Army, and later Yuan Shikai use it as Training Soldier Song.

After Xinhai Revolution, This song has used widely in Chinese Military, with different lyrics. The famous one is National Revolution Army Song.

Then, in Communist Control Part, people use this tune with a new lyrics named Land Revolution is succeed, afterwards, this tune with a new lyrics named Three Rules and Eight Notices, which is the latest lyric and now commonly knows. The latest lyric is basically additional rules added to those rules in the original Zeng Guofan's lyric to futher enforce the discipline for the soldiers, a fact that communists has willfully avoided to mention for decades, until the late 1990's.

At the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, USA used this tune both in attendance of China PR and Chinese Taipei
