Koohdasht

Koohdasht (also Kuhdasht) is a city in the Lorestan province in western Iran. The population was estimated to number 105,077 residents in 2006 [http://www.gazetteer.de/wg.php?x=&men=gpro&lng=fr&des=gamelan&dat=200&geo=-106&srt=pnan&col=aohdqcfbeimg&pt=c&va=&geo=444730760] .

Koohdasht is a large plain which is surrounded by mountains. In Persian language, Koohdash is composed of "Kooh," which means mountain, and "Dasht," which means plain.Koohdasht was the residence of CASIT, one of the oldest ancient civilizations.There are some antique pieces of bronze in Louvre museum from CASIT civilization.
