David Keith Gillett

David Keith Gillett (b. 25 January 1945) was the 3rd Anglican Bishop of Bolton from 1999 until 2007. Educated at Wellingborough School and Leeds University [ Who’s Who 2008 (London, A & C Black, 2008 ISBN 9780713672576] he studied for ordination at Oak Hill Theological College before embarking on an ecclesiastical career with a Curacy in Watford. ["Debrett's People of Today": Ed Ellis,P (1992, London, Debtrett's) p 1621 ISBN 1870520092)] From 1971 he was Secretary of the "CYFA", [Crockfords,(London, Church House 1975) ISBN 0108153674 ] an organization that supports Christian teenagers. Eleven years later he was elevated to the Suffragan Bishopric of Bolton. A keen photographer and gardener,he retired in 2007.
