Carl J. Artman

Carl J. Artman served as the United States Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Indian Affairs (and thus the head of the Bureau of Indian Affairs) from 2007 to 2008.

He received a B.A. from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri and a law degree from Washington University in St. Louis.

He is a member of the Oneida tribe.
