Larry Probst (Lawrence F. Probst III) was previously the CEO of the world's largest video game publisher, Electronic Arts (EA). He was succeeded by John Riccitiello on April 2 2007. Probst worked from Johnson & Johnson and later on Clorox before being recruited into the video game industry through Activision in 1982. In 1984 he joined EA as Vice President for Sales. He is the current Chairman and former Chief Executive Officer of the company. When President and Chief Operating Officer John Riccitiello resigned in April 2004, Probst assumed his duties. After Riccitiello was re-hired as CEO in 2007, Probst retained his non-operational duties as Chairman.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Delaware.

According to EA's 2005 Annual Report, Probst is the biggest individual shareholder in EA, owning 739,761 shares and the right to acquire a further 3.1 million, which combined accounts for 1.2 percent of the company.
