The Tampa Bay Strong Dogs were an American Basketball Association (ABA) team based in Tampa, Florida. The team began play in the fall of 2004 as the Harlem Strong Dogs. They finished in 4th place in the blue division with a 14-6 record. They lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Kentucky Colonels 108-105. After the 2005-06 season the team announced they would be moving to Tampa for the 2006-07 season. However, due to lack of corporate and community support, the team announced they would not play, and as such, never played the 2006-07 season. As of November 7, 2006, there was no word if they would ever play again.
