Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts (BNA), India's premier theatre training institute situated at Lucknow, India, is an autonomous organization under Ministry of Culture, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh.

History

BNA was established in 1975 under the auspices of "Sangeet Natak Akademi" (Government of Uttar Pradesh), and its first batch passed out in 1977; in 1977 it became autonomous and in 2008 it gained the status of a deemed university."BNA declared deemed university",] ]

Performing Wings

Repertory Company

The professional performing wing of BNA, the 'Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts' Repertory Company was set up in 1986, with an aim to promote professional theatre in India.

Today, the Repertory Company, performs all over the nation and aboard, and has its own festival every year, called Annual Repertory Company Summer Festival, in which it perform new and past plays.
