Totternhoe Knolls is a former medieval quarry now designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. [ [http://www.english-nature.org.uk/Special/sssi/sssi_details.cfm?sssi_id=1001561 Natural England: Totternhoe Knolls] ] It is managed as a nature reserve by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough. [ [http://www.wildlifebcnp.org/reserves/reserve.php?reserveid=29 Wildlife Trust: Totternhoe Knolls and Totternhoe Quarry] ] It is located north-west of Totternhoe village in the county of Bedfordshire.
