Wolverhampton , West Midlands,England who are signed to Weekender records and released their debut single in February 2008. The band members are Dean Bate (Lead Guitar), Ryan Edwards (Drums and Samples), Alex Ohm (Vocals and Guitar) and Chris Titley (Bass Guitar).The Lines formed in 2005 with life time school friends Dean Bate and Alex Ohm who later added Chris Titley (who they found in a pub) and became a five piece band. Following a few line up changes, drummer Dave O'Connor joined in January 2007 and completed the most successful line up to date. The Lines released their debut single 'Domino Effect' on Weekender Records on February 25 2008, and achieved number ten in the UK Indie Chart.
The Lines have achieved various support slots between 2005-2008 which have included
Editors ,The Maccabees ,The Twang , The Charlatans,Babyshambles ,Jack Penate ,Supergrass andGood Shoes . They also performed at Birmingham ArtsFest and the Bang Music Festival atDonington Park , in front of 80,000 people." On February 11 2008, lead singer and guitarist Alex Ohm performed an acoustic version of their debut single during the half-time at the
Wolverhampton Wanderers versusStoke City Championship football match to more than 20,000 people. The Lines staged concerts of their own, including sell-out shows at local Wolverhampton venues Little Civic, Civic Bar and, on February 23 2008, the 1,200 capacity Wulfrun Hall.
