Johnny Ekström (born
March 5 ,1965 inKallebäck ) is a Swedish former footballer.He is most noted for his career in
IFK Göteborg , where he was highly successful. As a professional he was less successful, often just staying a year in the team. He became both Swedish and German Champion, with Göteborg andBayern Munich respectively.He had also appeared for the Swedish national team, and participated in the
1990 FIFA World Cup inItaly .His nicknames in Sweden are "Kallebäcks-Expressen" (the express from Kallebäck) or "Johnny Bråttom" (Johnny in a hurry) due to his speed on the football pitch.
