Shinobi-iri

Shinobi-iri

Shinobi-iri are techniques for silent movement and climbing, combined with a range of specialized tools stood the agents in good stead when the time came for them to effect entry into the enemy camp. There were also a number of methodologies employed when entering an enemy camp. "Nyukyo no jutsu" involved the correct use of timing to enter the enemy camp. "Monomi no jutsu" is the discovering of a weak place in the defences. "Nyudaki no jutsu" is using a weakness in the psychological makeup of the guard. "Da" refers to idleness and "ki" means a dislike for being industrious. "Yoji-gakure no jutsu" involved the classic move of throwing an object in order to distract a guard. "Yoji" means toothpick but it would be more common for a stone or coin to be thrown. When the guard went to investigate the noise the agent would slip inside the camp. "Joei-on jutsu" dealt with the erasing of sound and light. It involved such things as keeping light sources between themselves and the guards, moving downwind to avoid alerting dogs and to reduce the likelihood of being heard. "Shinobi" means full-fledged ninja.

Shinobi-iri is a stealth technique and method for secretly entering an area (for example, a camp), particularly that studied in ninjutsu. It consists of five methodologies.

Methodologies

"Nyukyo no jutsu" - Correct use of timing to enter a camp
"Monomi no jutsu" - Discovering the weak point in the camp's defences
"Nyudaki no jutsu" - Using a psychological weakness in the guard ("Da" meaning 'idleness' and "Ki" meaning 'a dislike for being industrious')
"Yoji-gakure" - Distraction. (For example, throwing an object to distract a guard)
"Joei-on jutsu" - Erasing light and sound (For example, keeping a light between themselves and a guard, in order to distract him, this would also make it harder for any guard to see them as it is harder to see into a dark area far off if a light source is in front of you)
