James Chalmers (born September, 1974) is a British actor. He was educated at "Eagle House School" and "Bradfield College". He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), London , with fellow students Daisy Haggard and Benedict Cumberbatch, graduating in 2000.

He is most known for his role in "Tamar's Revenge" (2004) at the "Royal Shakespeare Company", where he played the lead role of "Absalom". In that season he also appeared in "Pedro, the Great Pretender" , "Dog in a Manger" , and "House of Desires" .

In 2006, he guest starred in the "The Bill" as the hopeless Environmental Protection Officer "Alistair Maddison". In 2008, he guest starred in the "Casualty" as the scam artist "Steve Denver".

In 2008, he played the lead "Johnny Hooker" in the new British zombie movie "Within The Woods 2008" directed by "Luke Massey".
