- Feedback (radio series)
"Feedback" is a series broadcast on
BBC Radio 4 , presented by Roger Bolton. The programme is one in which listeners to Radio 4 write in and Roger Bolton reads out their comments. Radio Four comedies such as "The News Quiz " have been a popular topic among correspondents to the programme; another programme which is often discussed in letters to the series is "The Archers ". The series may also cover correspondence related to other BBC national radio stations, such as Radio 1. On occasion, the comments read out on the programme may have less to do with programme content than with media by which radio programmes may be broadcast. In 2007, the series mentioned the concept of "wiki-radio". The programme is normally broadcast on a Friday and last for thirty minutes, from 13:30 to 14:00 (UK time). The programme is normally off air during summer months; in 2008, it was first broadcast for its autumn season on September 19, 2008. Coverage on the programme broadcast on October 10 2008 including complaints from correspondents about the interviewing style ofJohn Humphrys onToday when interviewingAlistair Darling , and arguments that Radio Four presenters were too biassed towards an arts background and lacked competence in science subjects. In response to the latter issue, an employee ofRadio Four noted that there are programmes on Radio Four which often feature scientists, such as Melvyn Bragg'sIn Our Time .
