History

The first football club in Derventa before World War II was FK Dječko which was formed before FK Tekstilac. After World War II FK Dječko becomes FK Tekstilac Derventa.

In long and rich history of FK Tekstilac Derventa it will be long memorable generation between 1960 and 1968 when apears one of most talented and best generations of FK Tekstilac Derventa. Creator and leader of this brilliant generation of FK Tekstilac Derventa was legendary attacker Faruk Tarabar.
Faruk Tarabar was smart, intelligent and with lots of football experience and excellent pedagogyc skills. He was manage to compose talent and skill of that excellent Tekstilac's generation.

That generation was bring on lot’s of fans on stadion who left they own hearts cheering for FK Tekstilac. Fans was coming on games in big crowd numbers and players of Tekstilac was afford them unforgeteble time in that period.

Lots of fans still remember, and they will not forget start of series in 1966/67 when Tekstilac was in first tree match „trashed out“ to „bare foots“ first team of FK Radnik Bijeljina with 5:0, then in next game they do the same thing to team of NK Zvijezda Gradačac (also they beat them 5:0), and in third match Tekstilac beat as guests team FK Budućnost Banovići in Banovići with 5:1.

On those games on legendary field between old slaughter house and textil industry fabric „Ukrina“ ther was cca 1500 to 2000 spectators.Men who was engaged in all tehnicalys was Haso „Koka“ Kapetanović. Two more people was responsible for succes of FK Tekstilac. Those two was Ivica Sirovina as member of technical committee and unbeatable president and chairman Ismet Alibegović.

Unforunatly, many of players and member of board of directors are not alive today like Nikica Sirovina (excellent men and captain of squad), Faruk Tarabar, Haso „Koka“, Kemal „Spazo“ Buzadžić, Nezir „Benco“ Crnčević. Many of them also are refugees from Derventa: Ramo „Sebura“ Slomić, Kemal Šljoka Generalić, Alija Vejzović „Jarac“ i Mesud „Dodo“ Jegić and they all are in Sweden today. Pavek is in United States of America, Zvonko „Šimeta“ Bošnjak, Suljko and others ware in Germany…
