Irina Reyn (b. 1974) is an American
novelist .Born in
Moscow ,Russia , she emigrated with her parents when she was seven toBrooklyn ,New York . She was educated at theRutgers University (BA ) and earned a MA in Slavic Languages and Literatures from theUniversity of Pittsburgh and aMFA in Creative Writing fromBennington College .She has published short stories and essays in literary magazines. She is the book review editor for the on-line literary magazine, "
Killing the Buddha ". She has published over 150 book reviews, including reviews in major newspapers. From 1994–1999 she worked in publishing and television in New York.Reyn is a visiting professor in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Pittsburgh.
