- Peebles F.C.
Peebles Football Club is a Scottish senior non-league football club based in the town of
Peebles ,Scottish Borders . They are members of theEast of Scotland Football League and currently play in Division One.The club was formed in 2006 when the town's previous senior club, Peebles Rovers, merged with a number of other local amateur teams to form a community amateur football club. Peebles F.C. inherited Rovers' league place, and also continue to play at the old club's home ground, Whitestone Park. The club is an associate member of the
Scottish Football Association , which means they are ineligible to enter theScottish Cup .Although the new club has been successful on the field of play, challenging for promotion and reaching the Alex Jack Cup final during the 2007-08 season, manager Mark Lamb departed at the end of the campaign, citing the club's poor financial state. The club committee have admitted that Peebles' future may be in doubt without additional investment.
