Iola Leal Riesco

Iola Leal Riesco (born on 4 July 1977 in Lugo, Spain) is a environmental and social activist working for the Forests and the European Union Resource Network(FERN). [FERN site - [http://www.fern.org/contact.html Contacts] ] She is currently working on forest governance issues, and in particularly following the EU action plan for Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade. Prior to joining FERN, she worked for Amazonia Assemblea de Solidaritat, Skamot Verd, Asociación pola defensa da ría, and other environmental and Galician nacionalist groups. She is a Master of Science in Biology by the University of Barcelona.
